We are therefore looking for an inspiring, driven and dedicated professional, taking the next step in their leadership journey, to contribute wholeheartedly to the direction of the Academy. The Deputy Headteacher will work closely with, and support, the Headteacher, providing strategic and operational leadership to help realise the school’s vision, priorities, and ongoing improvement as we strive for excellence. Whilst there is no regular teaching commitment, there will be the expectation for some teaching depending on the needs of the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced school leader who is also an excellent classroom practitioner and wants to have a key role in the school’s future development.

• have an exceptional knowledge and understanding of what constitutes excellent quality of teaching and learning
• are excellent classroom practitioners and can support others to improve
• recognise the importance of assessment in driving outcomes for our children

• have proven experience across KS1 and KS2
• have an in-depth knowledge of the Ofsted framework
• use educational research and evidence-informed approaches in their practice
• have a strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• have a strong knowledge and understanding of leading in a church school
• have strong interpersonal and communication skills
• demonstrate integrity, resilience, passion and a determination to make a difference to the lives of all children.
