Position: Fixed Term Teaching Assistant
Grade: G3 6 -9 pro rota 39 weeks term time
Hours: 27.5 hours per week / 5 days a week
Contract: Fixed term from 1st September 2026 until 31st August 2027
Salary: £24,796 pro rata (Actual salary £19629.45)
Closing date: 9am Friday 22nd May 2026
We are hoping to employ a fixed term teaching assistant to work across our school. A willingness to try a variety of strategies as well as the ability to work as part of our friendly team is essential. Candidates should be hardworking, honest and reliable and have the best interests of the pupils at the core of everything they do.
The successful candidate will:
• Have previous experience of working in an educational setting
• Be able to support a child’s learning, behaviour, social inclusion as well as their social and emotional development.
• Be able to foster excellent working relationships with children.
• Have effective classroom management strategies.
• Be caring, enthusiastic and innovative.
• Be a good team player and able to work well as part of a supportive staff structure.
• Have good Literacy, Numeracy and Communication skills (GCSE or equivalent) and NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent).
• Have an ability to use their own initiative.
• Be passionate about improving outcomes and supporting children to overcome barriers to learning and fulfil their potential.

Fluency Duty
