TEACHING ASSISTANT
Required for September 2026
32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
(term time plus one week)
GLEA Grade 3 (Actual salary £24,796—£25,989, if full-time)

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students in line with the needs of the school.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and support colleagues to provide effective support for students, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Experience of working with young people in a similar role would be advantageous. 

Applicants should be patient, caring, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team. Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential, along with a willingness to develop knowledge and understanding of additional needs and neurodiversity.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and medical clearance.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
