Job Introduction
Wellspring Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Assistant to support the Catering function in Springwell schools in Lincoln, Grantham and Spalding by providing high quality meals to learners.
Location
This role is for a mobile Catering Assistant covering the following schools Springwell Lincoln, Myles Cross, Grantham and Spalding, Lincs.
Working pattern
Approx 15-20 hours per week (12.5 hours in the kitchen) and the remainder as needed for travelling time.
This role is term time only.
ABOUT US:
Please note that we offer day time working (no weekends or evenings) and can offer flexibility with working hours to work around any existing commitments i.e. child collection times.
We can also offer work to fit around any school holidays for childcare (summer, half terms, Easter and Christmas).

We are committed to doing everything possible to ensure children get nutritious meals at school. The post holder will need an interest in nutrition and healthy meals. Experience of working in education settings would be advantageous.
Applicants will need to have the skills and organisation to carry out all compliance duties as expected in a catering unit and ensure a high level of customer service during service. They will have a good level of understanding in respect of procedures such as, health and safety, allergen control and food safety. They will need to have Food Safety Level 2 (or be willing to undertake the training required) and be able to use a computer.
