We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and proactive Parent Support Advisor to join our school community. The successful candidate will work closely with families, pupils, staff, and external agencies to support children's wellbeing, attendance, engagement, and achievement.
The Parent Support Advisor will play a key role in building positive relationships with parents and carers, helping families access appropriate support services, and removing barriers to learning to ensure every child can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing advice, guidance, and practical support to parents and carers.
• Working collaboratively with school staff to improve pupil attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement.
• Supporting families experiencing social, emotional, financial, or other challenges.
• Acting as a link between home, school, and external support agencies.
• Delivering early intervention and preventative support to families.
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding and child protection processes where appropriate.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience of working with children, families, or within a school or community setting.
• Demonstrates excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
• Can work sensitively and confidentially with families from diverse backgrounds.
• Has a good understanding of safeguarding, child welfare, and family support services.
• Is organised, resilient, and able to manage a varied workload effectively.
• Is committed to improving outcomes for children and strengthening family engagement in education.
