Contract: Full-time (fixed term to 31/08/2026)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS 1 – 6.

About the role
Legsby Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception / Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our team. This would be an excellent opportunity for an Early Careers Teacher. You will be responsible for teaching children aged 4-7 years (Years R, 1 and 2), delivering engaging lessons across the National Curriculum and fostering a love of learning in our youngest pupils.
Key responsibilities
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons for Reception / KS1 pupils following the National Curriculum
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports all children's development
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback to children, parents and colleagues
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement strategies
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff and other teachers
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to school data systems
• Participate in parents' evenings and school events
• Support the school's safeguarding policies and procedures
