Job Introduction
Bishop King CE Primary are seeking to appoint two dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work as part of our SEND team. We currently have two positions available, a part time temporary position for 20 hours per week and a part time permanent position for 13 hours per week term time only. You will be working across the school as part of the team, with individuals or small groups of children as necessary.
You should have experience of working with children and be able to adapt the curriculum under the guidance of the class teacher. You should be creative and caring with a commitment to quality educational provision. A good standard of English (both spoken and written English) and Maths is essential, along with lots of enthusiasm.
There will be plenty of opportunities for professional development and the chance to build a wide range of skills in classroom pedagogy, supporting individual children's learning and their all-round development.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
• Provide support for the child’s additional needs
• Follow and implement provision plans
• Prepare resources and teaching materials
• Liaise with class teachers and SENDCo
• Liaise with outside agencies and parents, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo
