We are seeking a School Business Manager.
Rauceby Primary School is a high-achieving primary school that is committed to providing an excellent education, including a strong focus on its Forest School programme. The school is dedicated to the training and future development of its staff, and it aims to enable employees to excel in their roles and prepare them for future leadership opportunities.
Due to the retirement of our long-standing School Business Manager, we are seeking an equally exceptional individual to join our dedicated and ambitious team at Rauceby Primary School from 1 September 2025. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the school's financial, administrative, and operational functions, ensuring the smooth running of the school and supporting the Headteacher in achieving the school's strategic objectives. This post is for 37 hours per week however reduced hours could be considered for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the school's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Oversee the school's human resources, including payroll, recruitment, and staff management
- Coordinate the school's premises and facilities management, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures
- Develop and implement effective administrative systems and procedures
- Liaise with external stakeholders, such as the local authority, suppliers, and contractors
- Provide strategic advice and support to the Headteacher and Governing Body
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant professional qualification in finance, business management, or a related field
- Significant experience in school business management or a similar role
- Excellent financial management skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Excellent written skills and the ability to communicate complex information concisely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
