Job Introduction
Bishop King Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Site Manager to provide an onsite service including security of the premises and its contents, heating and lighting of the premises, cleaning of specified areas, porterage and minor maintenance repairs.
This role involves line management and supervision of the work of the school cleaners and site handyman ensuring the work carried out is satisfactory.
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year. Daily hours and pattern to be confirmed. Salary G6 Point 15:18 (£29,093.00 - £31,586.00)
Subject to six-month probationary period, references, DBS and safeguarding (including online) checks.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
• Have a clear understanding of the cleaning standards required by the school.
• Have in depth understanding of Health and Safety.
• Practice safe working methods to be used in accordance with COSHH assessments for hazardous substances.
• Knowledge of intruder alarms and heating systems.
• Undertake minor maintenance and DIY. Escalating works beyond this scope so that contractors can be scheduled.
• To complete various safety checks across the whole school: daily perimeter checks (including visual checks of trees, playground equipment), visual asbestos checks, faulty equipment, weekly fire alarm tests, monthly emergency light tests, COSHH, water hygiene etc. Record outages so that contractors can be scheduled.
