TA1 Teaching Assistant

Job Introduction

Witham St Hughs Academy are looking for a TA1 Teaching Assistant working initially EYFS based on higher needs funding.

Teaching Assistant: 39 weeks per year including 5 training days. 31/08/2026

SCP 2-7 (£24,975 - £26,402 FTE) 25 hours per week (£14,517 actual salary pro-rata).

· have an understanding of how to support children with communication and emotional development needs

· work collaboratively with the class teacher and within the year group team to support the specific needs of individual pupils

· have good communication skills and the ability to listen to the views of the child

· have very high expectations of all pupils and be a good team contributor

· are excellent, enthusiastic and motivated individual

· will actively contribute to the development of our dedicated and professional staff team
