Teacher of Maths

Job Introduction

Haven High Academy are seeking a Teacher of Maths who is looking for an exciting challenge and the chance to make a real difference to student outcomes, at a pivotal time in our school’s improvement journey.

Haven High Academy is on a clear path of improvement. In the Ofsted Monitoring Visit (September 2025), inspectors recognised the progress being made since the previous inspection and highlighted the confidence leaders have made. Ofsted noted that:

“(Newly appointed) Leaders… have a clear vision for improving the school further so that it provides a high-quality education for all pupils.”

“They have evaluated all aspects of the school’s provision to establish an accurate view of what improvements are needed and how these should be prioritised.”

These comments reflect a leadership team that understands the school well and has a good plan in place for continued improvement.

Inspectors highlighted the positive changes in behaviour across the academy, stating that:

“Behaviour has also improved significantly. Leaders have embedded consistent routines that support pupils to behave well and develop effective learning habits.”

Inspectors also found that leaders have prioritised attendance and pupil engagement, saying that:

“Leaders monitor attendance forensically… As a result, attendance has improved significantly.”

There are clear signs of progress — and even more importantly, a determined and strategic leadership team driving further development.
