Job Introduction
Potterhanworth C of E Primary School is looking for a part-time Teaching Assistant to join the team at our successful, village primary church school. There is also the opportunity to work an additional 7.5 hours per week, term time, as a member of our Midday Team.
Potterhanworth is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, located 6 miles south-east of Lincoln.
It is an idyllic, rural village, with St Andrew’s Church and our school located centrally.

Main Purpose of the role:
To work flexibly across the school, supporting pupils based on their needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans [EHCPs]
To assist teachers in creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment, enabling all pupils to achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities:
Support teaching and learning activities across different year groups, as directed.
Work with individual pupils and small groups, including those with additional needs and EHCPs, to support access to learning.
Assist teaching staff with the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation.
Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting high standards of behaviour.
Support the implementation of individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans.
Help with the supervision of pupils during lunchtimes, break tomes and on educational visits.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO and external agencies as required.
Support the school's Christian ethos and values in all interactions.
Participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
Carry out any other duties reasonably required by the Headteacher.
