William Farr Church of England Comprehensive School has a long and proud history and standing in the local community. We are looking for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced individual to undertake the role of Teaching Assistant to join our highly respected department.
The successful candidate will support several pupils with additional needs. Experience of supporting SEND pupils in a school environment would be an advantage, as would an NVQ2 or above.
Situated in the village of Welton, close to the historic and beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln, this Church of England 11-18 Comprehensive School has around 1,500 students on roll. Our school gained academy status in January 2011, received an ‘Excellent’ SIAMS grading in March 2019, and an Ofsted ‘Good’ in October 2022.
Skills and Qualification Required:
• Good numeracy/literacy skills.
• GCSE Maths and English Grade A-C (4-9) or equivalent or willingness to work towards literacy and numeracy functional skills qualifications.
• Good IT skills.
• Ability to keep sensitive information private and maintain Confidentiality.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both adults and children.
• Good communication skills.
• Good organisation.
• Good time keeping and punctuality.
• Willingness to develop an understanding of child development and child learning.
