An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join Wygate Park Academy in Spalding where we have a happy, dynamic and ambitious team! We are a heavily over subscribed school, serving the heart of the South Holland Community with highly motivated staff and children.

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide support for pupils with, and without, EHCPs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop independence, and thrive socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources
Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents when required.


This position is 25 hours per week, and temporary until August 31st 2026.

Essential Criteria:
English and Maths GCSE, Grade C/4 or equivalent
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desired Criteria:
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with EHCPs

Fluency Duty
