Teaching Assistant

Job Introduction

The Headteacher and Governing body of St Peter in Eastgate CofE (Controlled) Infant School are looking to appoint a highly motivated, flexible, experienced and inspirational Teaching Assistant to join our team to commence as soon as possible. The suitable candidate will need to be flexible and able to adapt to working in different ways to meet pupil need. They will need to be a warm caring person who is able to support other team members and be keen to contribute to the wider school community.

We are looking for creative and caring practitioners who have a commitment to providing quality educational provision.

We are looking for candidates who have:
• Excellent interpersonal skills, being able to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, parents and other professionals;
• A drive to ensure children receive the appropriate support to achieve their potential;
• Experience of working in a similar role;
• The ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team;
• Flexibility and adaptability;
• A willingness to learn and develop existing skills;
• A sense of humour;
• A minimum of GCSE pass in both Maths and English
• A willingness to ‘go the extra mile’
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification as a minimum
• Understand the importance of safeguarding.
Desirable additional qualities and skills would be:
• First aid qualification
• Team Teach Trained
• Level three TA qualification
• Safeguarding Training
