Teaching Assistant Role
St Andrew's CE Primary School is seeking a kind, caring, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant, supporting a child with EHCP hours in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond sensitively to the individual needs of our children
• Demonstrate the ability to work alongside the class teacher to adapt work and
provide tailored support across the curriculum
• Build good professional relationships with children and colleagues
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Maintain a warm, positive outlook
Requirements:
• Appropriate qualification in learning support
• Ideally, experience of working in a school setting
• Literate and numerate to GCSE or equivalent level
Desired Qualities:
• Sympathetic to our Christian vision and values
• Ability to create a safe and stimulating environment for our pupils, rooted in
mutual respect
• Commitment to setting goals that stretch and challenge our children of all
backgrounds, abilities, and dispositions
