Technology Technician (Primarily Resistant Materials)
Contract: 20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus training days)


North Kesteven Academy seeks a suitably qualified Technology Technician to support our Art & Technology department in delivering practical activities and managing safety. This will be primarily working in Resistant Materials classrooms although support will occasionally be required in Food Technology and Art.

Working closely with our teaching staff, you will support the Academy’s practical technology delivery in accordance with the CLEAPSS guidelines, the Design & Technology Association standards, and Academy policies. You will assist in sourcing, creating and delivering resources and materials to support practical lessons and curriculum planning. Our Art & Technology department offers a supportive team environment and your enthusiasm and ideas will be welcomed by the teaching team.

The successful candidate will have a background in technology, good knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations, and an awareness of technology teaching in schools. You will be a personable team player, flexible in your approach, a creative thinker and problem solver. You will be able to demonstrate a strong affinity for working with young people.
