Year 1 Class Teacher (Part-time, Permanent – 4 Days per Week)

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Class Teacher to join our dedicated team for 4 days per week from September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and planning expectations.

- Create a vibrant and stimulating classroom environment that promotes independent learning and supports pupil wellbeing.

- Foster a love of learning through creative and cross-curricular approaches.

- Monitor, assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and development, using formative and summative assessment strategies.

- Set high expectations for behaviour and learning, promoting positive values and maintaining a well-managed classroom.

- Differentiate learning effectively to meet the varying needs and abilities of pupils, including those with SEND and EAL.

- Support and contribute to the development and review of individual support plans (ISPs), working closely with the SENCO and other staff members.

- Establish positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, maintaining effective home-school communication.

- Participate in staff meetings, INSET days, and school events, contributing to the wider life of the school.

- Maintain up-to-date records of planning, assessments, and interventions in line with school policies.

- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance practice and remain up to date with educational developments.

- Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils by following school safeguarding procedures and policies.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

- Proven experience teaching within KS1 or EYFS.

- Excellent classroom management skills with a nurturing and supportive approach.

- Proficiency in using educational technologies to enhance learning.

- A team-oriented attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Fluency Duty
