We are looking to appoint a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our team at Caythorpe Primary School.
Do you enjoy working with children and want to gain valuable experience in the classroom? This is a great opportunity to gain insight about working within a school while gaining an NVQ level 3 qualification. The apprenticeship training will be delivered through BeReady - further details will be provided. You'll learn from sector specialist tutors to develop knowledge, skills, and behaviours to become a teaching assistant and make an impact on pupils’ learning.

Working in a school as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, your role will involve supporting the class teacher during lessons, assisting the teacher in maintaining a purposeful, supportive learning environment.
Teaching Assistants may also undertake the following:
- Liaise with the teacher to understand the objectives of each session
- Provide teaching support in small groups and individual pupils to aid the teacher
- Assist the teacher with observations and monitoring of the progress of children, both educationally and socially
- Keep up-to-date written records for supporting pupils
- Promote positive behaviour patterns, raise self-esteem, and improve independent work with children to assist their education and growth
- Assist in the development of individual development plans for pupils
- Support the work of volunteers and other teaching assistants in the classroom
- Assist in escorting and supervising pupils on educational visits and out of school activities
- Select, prepare and clear away classroom materials and learning areas ensuring they are available for use, including developing and presenting displays
- Support pupils in developing and implementing their own personal social and development
- Assist pupils with eating, dressing and hygiene, as required, whilst encouraging independence
- Working as a team member within your school and gaining invaluable experience
