EYFS Teaching Assistant Level 1 (TA1)

Job Introduction

Partney Church of England Primary School is seeking a EYFS Teaching Assistant Level 1 (TA1).

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the life of pupils in a small, caring school? Join our warm, ambitious community in the Lincolnshire Wolds where every voice is valued, outdoor learning is celebrated, and compassion underpins high expectations. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing, develop your practice and be part of a small school committed to inclusion and improvement.

Partney is a small, rural Voluntary Aided primary school set in beautiful countryside around 2 miles from Spilsby. Our welcoming community combines high expectations with compassionate support. We value curiosity, courage and compassion and we encourage pupils to develop their voice, talents and interests — indoors and outdoors.

The successful candidate will have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and achievements; be able to evidence good practice, relative to their experience, and be a genuine team player who is willing to contribute fully to the life of the school and the wider community. The successful candidate must be able to develop positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues.

In return, we can offer you a forward-looking school in which there are many opportunities for professional development, particularly through school to school collaboration; a values based school with a friendly and welcoming staff team.

Ideally, the successful candidate would be available to start on 1st June 2026 or as close as possible to this date.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 14th May 2026. Interview date to be confirmed. Please email completed applications to enquiries@partney.lincs.sch.uk.

Please download an application pack from our school website enquiries@partney.lincs.sch.uk.

Applicants should note that written references will be taken up at the shortlisting stage prior to interview.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share in this commitment. Any offer of employment will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and employment references.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

The school advertising the vacancy will contact you directly regarding the outcome of your application and any interviews. When interviews are taking place schools will follow all Government and Public Health England Guidelines.

All shortlisted candidates will need to verify their eligibility to work in the UK at interview.
